Wellspring Wirksworth Service of Commitment 

In a truly ecumenical service celebrating our Baptist and Methodist roots 13 year old Tillie Palfreyman was baptised by the Revd Kevin Price

Tillie has been coming to church for a few years with her grandfather Clive Walker, and is part of the Sunday morning Wellies Group. In her testimony she spoke of her faith in Jesus and her desire to live as a Christian. 

Clive's desire in bringing Tillie to church was for her to learn about the Christian faith as a child, as he had done. For him, it was a return to church after some years' absence, and after bringing Tillie week by week and experiencing the worship and fellowship of Wellspring, he realised 'it must be true', and he decided it was time for him to be confirmed. Clive was confirmed using the Methodist Confirmation Responses and Prayers.

In the same service on July 14, David Butlin was welcomed into membership by transfer from a Baptist church in Berkshire.
